Senior Reliability Engineer

Contract Type:  Indefinite

Job Purpose:

Enhance, design and execute reliability basic activities of ORYX GTL multiple demands, including vulnerabilities identification and elimination, defect eliminations, equipment/system health monitoring, bad actors management, asset performance management and spares management, in compliance with standards, policies, and procedure in order to improve plant performance.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • Preferably a professional reliability qualification.
  • Certificate of Certified Reliability Engineer is an advantage.

 

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years in Reliability with 4years in a similar position in Oil and Gas Industry.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Vulnerabilities Management:

  • Support and contribute to the identification and elimination of vulnerabilities including the ones from equipment/units or system through collaboration with Operations team and participation in on-line/off-line condition monitoring initiatives.
  • Ensuring the investigation of key vulnerabilities and an action plan is in place to mitigate these vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure the vulnerabilities mitigation activities are in SAP and planned/scheduled with a realistic completion date through liaison with Maintenance Supervisors.
  • Ensure required critical spares available through liaison with material coordinator to carry out mitigation activities.
  • Provide Operations departments with update on the key vulnerabilities and their mitigation plans through close collaboration with the respective departments.
  • Support the implementation of key vulnerabilities mitigation activities by working with planners and schedulers to prioritize plans and execute the activities.
  • Participate in Production Vulnerabilities Assessment Analysis (PVAA) reviews by providing activities.

Defect Eliminations:

  • Facilitate RCA and contribute to RCAs improvement according to RCA Management process to comply with and meet targets.
  • Participate in Operations and Reliability alignment meetings (e.g., Production & Reliability meetings etc.).
  • Act as a single point of accountability (SPA) in delivery of investigations against key failures.
  • Ensure all assigned investigations entered in system with recommended actions and respective SMEs assigned for the execution.

Equipment/System Health Monitoring:

  • Support the development and implementation of condition monitoring strategies through collaboration with respective SMEs.
  • Participate in online/off-line condition monitoring initiatives to support team in identifying potential vulnerabilities.
  • Provide input and support in adopting new tools and techniques for better equipment/system performance monitoring.
  • Communicate with Operations sections to provide inputs and to develop with Reliability Section Senior Engineers watchkeeping and basic care routines by setting-up exceptions discussion meetings and ensuring all key equipment and systems are performance monitored.
  • Act as a SPA for implementing watchkeeping and basic care routines by providing help and supporting the Operations team in embedding watchkeeping and basic care activities to ensure all key equipment and systems are performance monitored.
  • Support the development of reliability envelop of key equipment and systems through collaborations with SMEs to ensure healthiness of equipment and systems.
  • Act as a SPA in implementing reliability envelopes by developing and implementing a mechanism to identify excursions, reporting and putting actions to keep equipment/system to operate within their reliability envelope.
  • Support defining critical equipment and assigning appropriate maintenance management through SAP and collaborations with SMEs in compliance with respective SMEs.
  • Ensure that heat map is up to date, by making sure all vulnerabilities and defects are captured, and equipment status is live.

Maintenance Management:

  • Ensure key equipment and systems have an adequate and efficient maintenance system set-up and an appropriate maintenance regime in SAP through collaborations with SMEs.
  • Support Maintenance execution team by identifying missing tag and related information to inform respective SMEs as well as to efficiently prioritize, plan and execute maintenance activities.

Bad Actors Management:

  • Drive plant sections top bad actors identification by aligning with respective Operations and work with Reliability Section Senior Engineers to ensure identified bad actors have been thoroughly investigated and action plan in place to mitigate chronic issues.

Asset Performance Management (APM):

  • Roll out APM solution tool by assuring compliance to HSE, Reliability, Strategy, and Integrity processes.
    Provide input and support in adopting APM tool modules and techniques for better equipment/system integration and performance.
  • Communicate and work closely with Operations stakeholders to implement processes and expedite with APM tool support requirements.

Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM):

  • Apply RCM2 process by identifying plant critical systems and performing RCM to set realistic expectations, providing insight on business risks, providing quantitative risk reduction data, preventing loss of essential knowledge, and identifying operational costs impact reduction.

Spares Management:

  • Recommend, with Operations SMEs, critical sparing strategy through collaboration with SMEs to ensure that key equipment/systems have critical spares identified and re-order level set in SAP.
  • Support SMEs in Identifying obsolete equipment/systems and expediting key critical spares for replacement to ensure asset function continuity.

Vendor/Contract Management:

  • Provide support and inputs for contract renewal and performance management by, where required, conducting vendor audit and submitting findings, reviewing vendor reports and providing support and inputs in cost reduction.

Continues Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities and feedback for continuously improving reliability culture, identify opportunities to improve reliability of equipment and systems and work closely with all stake holders in improving efficiency and reducing costs.

Leadership/Behaviours:

  • Communicate frequently and freely to the Management on all reliability matters.
  • Participate in reliability and production meetings, participates in reliability engineer, SMEs regular meetings.
  • Ensure your key activities are included in Reliability Improvement Plan and status updated.
