Senior Electrical Engineer

Contract Type:  Indefinite

To ensure agreed Production volumes are met, in safe and sustainable manner with no incidents or harm to the environment, people or the asset, through developed and motivated staff.

Execution of Electrical Maintenance support activities, and assigned projects, on time and within budget with overall operational ost control. Manage the running of RCA and FMEA work groups. Assist and support the predictive initiative, Preparation of Speciification for the new electrical equipment, Execution of Maintenance Electrical MOC's/

 

Minimum Qualification:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical engineering or Equivalent.

 

Minimum Experience:

  • 510  Years of experience in Electrical maintenance within a reputed process plant within the Oil, Gas, Petrochemical Industries.
  • Must be able to do ETAP Studies.
  • Should be able to do protection calculations and determine correct protection settings.
  • Should have thorough working knowledge on Synchronous machines, Power and distribution transformers, variable speed drives, HV/LV switchgears, UPS and battery chargers.
  • Working experience in PLCs and microprocessor based protection relays will be an added advantage.
  • Must have working experience in spare parts management, should be able to prepare alternative specifications for obsolete spare parts for all electrical equipment and spare parts.
  • Should be able to perform Electrical equipment and spare parts material technical evaluations.
  • Must have thorough knowledge on classified equipment inspections like Exe, Exd, Exp, IS loops.
  • Must have good knowledge of IEC 60079 standards.
  • Must have good exposure of earthing systems.
  • Must have good working exposure on Electrial Power Management Systems.
  • Must have good working knowledge on Electrical Swith Gears.
  • Must have experience on protective relays testing including primary and secondary injection testing of protection network.
  • "Kharamaa Authorised Swithing engineer" authorisation will be an added advantage.
  • Must have good exposure of Lighting & HVAC Systems.
  • A working knowledge of Schematic & Single line P&ID's and PFC Diagrams and engineering drawings.
  • FAT & SAT inspection experience.
  • Good degree of attitude to be accepted and obtain support respect from all.
  • Must be able to work with all other discipline Supervisors, Technicians and contract service department.
  • Must have working experience in Management of change process.
  • Must be willing to perform standby duties for the Electrcal Team.
