Head of Process Safety

Job Purpose:

Lead and oversee all aspects of process safety management within ORYX GTL ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and company policies to minimize risks and maintain a safe operating environment. Ensure systematic identification, assessment, and Control of major accident hazards to people, environment, and assets, safeguarding the integrity of plant operations and leading the development of process safety culture throughout the organization.

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field.
  • Master's degree in Process Safety or related field preferred.
  • Professional certification in process safety preferred.

 

Minimum Experience:

  • 10 years of experience in process safety, with at least 5 years in a leadership role and
  • Experience with process hazard analysis techniques (e.g., HAZOP, LOPA, QRA).
  • 2 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry is an advantage.

 

Job Specific Skills:

In-depth knowledge of process safety management systems and relevant regulations.
Strong understanding of gas processing and refinery operations.
Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., PHA-Pro, PHAST, UNISIM).
